SIX MEN face charges including actual bodily harm, affray and criminal damage following an incident of violent disorder in Stonehouse, a court heard.
Mark Adams, aged 21, of Gloucester Road, Stonehouse, Connor O’Dowd, aged 18, of Festival Road, Stonehouse, Charlie Rees, aged 19, of Brisbane, Stonehouse, Corrie Stobart, aged 18, of Valley Gardens, Quedgeley, Alexander White, aged 18, of Midland Road, Stonehouse and a 17-year-old defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Stroud Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, February 22.
A seventh defendant - 22-year-old Ashley Bracey of Park Road, Stonehouse – failed to attend and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
All defendants are charged with affray, while actual bodily harm charges also apply to Bracey, O’Dowd, White and the 17-year-old boy.
White also faces a third charge of criminal damage.
The charges relate to an incident of violent disorder involving a total of 10 people in Stonehouse on March 19 last year.
Three other defendants are due in court over the incident next month.
The group were released on conditional bail – being that they do not contact a specific witness – to re-attend court on Wednesday, April 25, for a hearing to commit the case to crown court.
The bench agreed with the prosecution’s plea that the 17-year-old be dealt with at the same hearing.
